Now

This sun-dazzling day
I am a brilliantly purple
crocus
tenderly unfurling
petals to catch
Spring light.

This sun-soaked day
I am a puddle-cat
poured out
In a window-basket,
languid and
lazy.

This sun-dappled day
I am a lizard
darting with daring
then, statue-like,
stunned with delight,
I bask in brilliant warmth.

This sun-drenched day,
I am a butterfly,
savoring the sweetness,
the pure pleasure
of this moment,
the gift of
Now.
